Untangle Confusing Religious Experiences and

Find the Way Forward

People who spend significant time in particular church cultures learn to feel shame around having questions, doubts, and desires. This can lead to significant disconnect with self as well as spiritual confusion.

I help people navigate faith wrestling by helping them reestablish connection with self, untangle complex experiences, and help them build practices of grounding and love.

Untangle the Pain

Name beliefs, practices, or patterns that were harmful to you. Untangle the various good and bad strands of complex religious experiences to see the fuller picture. We can bring God into the process as much or as little as you want.

Build Grounding Rhythms

Explore grounding practices and resources that help you grow stability in your day-to-day. Building deeper connection with your body, with nature, and with noticing are a few of the pathways that can bring peace and resilience to the day-to-day.

Explore What Faith and God Mean to You Now

Our sessions can provide a safe space for you to freely express and explore whatever questions, hopes, doubts, and desires you need to. Gain clarity about what faith is for you now. Create new vision for what faith, community, connection, and purpose can be.

Build Vision for the Future

Reclaim and/or explore what gives you a sense of meaning in life. Gain clarity about what makes you you, and about who you want to be. Build vision for your life, and take steps toward bringing that vision to life.

Hi, I'm Elizabeth

I am a spiritual abuse survivor who now supports people in their journeys of healing and growth after religious trauma. I am biracial (half-Korean, half-white), grew up on the East Coast, lived in South Korea for 7 years, and now reside in Southern California. I received my Master’s of Divinity from Fuller Theological Seminary and also have training in life coaching (i.e. deep listening) and music. I integrate all of my experiences, creativity, and training into the support I offer, as relevant.

What is Working with Elizabeth Like?

Coaching with me is not about quick answers or trite solutions, we go deep. We won't just stay in the theoretical, however, we will explore tangible tools and practices to help you move forward into change and growth. I pull from the wisdom of trauma theory, positive psychology, IFS, the Enneagram, attachment theory, somatic healing practices, theological study, and faith practices in my work.
